• Emeritus Professor in the ecology and evolution section of Biological Sciences at the University of Illinois, Chicago

• Adjunct professor at Florida Atlantic University's Honors College, Institute of Environmental Studies and Lifelong Learning Society

• Taught at Yale University and University of Notre Dame

• Received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and did graduate work at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

• Completed post doctoral research at UCLA.

Dr. Poulson brings his teaching experience and scientific expertise to our educational programs. He provides advice and oversight, and promotes science-based decisions in restoration of the Everglades.
