Joan Davis

• Born in Pennsylvania
• Resident of Florida since February, 1998 after living for 29 years in Suffern, NY.
• Graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a triple major in History, Political Science and English Literature.
• Active with the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County.
  • Member, Board of Directors with a portfolio in Natural Resources.
  • Served as 2nd Vice-President and 1st Vice-President.
  • Chairs the International Program called Great Decisions, affiliated with the Foreign Policy Association.
• President, Boca Raton Literary Guild.
• Member of the Water Resources Advisory Commission of the South Florida Water Management District.  The SFWMD covers 16 counties from Orlando to Key West.  It deals with the restoration of the Everglades, maintaining Lake Okeechobee, the Estuaries, Biscayne Bay and Aquifer, Florida Bay, etc.
