• U.S. Army 1955-1957, Honorably Discharged.
• Diplomate, University of Havana, Cuba, Law School in Comparative International Law, 1958. Assistant District Attorney, Bexar County (San Antonio) Texas, 1959-1960.  Practiced law in San Antonio from 1960-2007, almost exclusively engaged in civil trial work in the tort, medical and complex litigation area.
• General Counsel to Mission Pharmacal Company, manufacturer of both prescription and non-prescription drugs, with about 350 employees in two plants in San Antonio, Texas, 1997-1999.
• Retired to Florida, 1999.
• Hobbies: Sailing, canoeing and golf.
• Single with two sons and two young granddaughters.
