EVERGLADES DAY February 9, 2013
14th Annual Everglades Day Family Festival
Saturday, February 9, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
“Healthy Everglades Healthy
People” is the theme for our annual all-day family festival with tours, nature
walks, bird walks, wildlife demonstrations, presentations, exhibits, games,
fishing demos, canoeing, music, dance and much more! Food is available
for purchase.
Author and journalist Ron Wiggins will share stories from his latest book,
“Florida Authentica” and Lance Warley will present his “Awesome” photo
collection “From Fuzzy to Finery”. Refuge Manager Sylvia Pelizza and
Everglades ecologists Dr. Nick Aumen and Dr. Stephen Davis will participate in
a panel discussion on the health of the Everglades. Come and enjoy a visit to
a true natural wonder, the Everglades in your own backyard!
Come join us and wear your walking shoes for this free family fun and
educational outdoor festival!
Park just south of the Refuge in Monty’s parking
