Board Minutes Bylaws FinancialsMembers and volunteers of the Friends provide environmental education and public outreach. They also help raise funds to support the Refuge mission, goals and vision.
The purpose of the Friends is to promote a better understanding and appreciation of the natural history and environment of South Florida, the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge and the entire Everglades system.
Our Speakers Bureau provides knowledgeable speakers for area clubs, organizations and communities. Their topics include the Refuge and many aspects of the Northern Everglades ecosystem. To reserve a speaking date, contact Friends President Steve Horowitz by email or telephone him at (581) 637-9751.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have such a precious resource so close to us. Join us in these pages and at the Refuge and see how wonderful it really is.
We are always interested in your comments and questions. Please feel free to drop us a line at info@loxahatcheefriends.com. Your comment or question will be forwarded to the appropriate person.
