Our Mission

Member-volunteers of the Friends provide environmental education and public outreach. They also help raise funds to support the Refuge mission, goals and vision.

The purpose of the Loxahatchee Friends is to promote a better understanding and appreciation of the natural history and environment of south Florida, the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, and the entire Everglades system.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have such a precious resource so close to us. Join us in these pages and at the Refuge and see how wonderful it really is.

We are always interested in your comments and questions. Please feel free to drop us a line at info@loxahatcheefriends.com Your comment or question will be forwarded to the appropriate person.
